Even if Covid never happened we would still be unbelievably spoiled with the quality of visual storytelling available. There will always be a place for cinema and the experience of absorbing a film on the big screen among friends and strangers alike, but most stories worth engaging with weren’t meant to unfold within 2-3 hours or less. Even in a limited series, the long-form/episodic approach is an undeniably superior medium.
