The main issue is that this is entirely a financially driven move that alienates a lot of tumblr’s users. Not trying to get all political with a random anon, but art is art and filtering out sexual content feels like censorship. I understand the problem with child pornography, but that is something I feel could have been addressed without nuking the entire NSFW content community. I don’t use Tumblr for “porn”, but even if I did, I’d see nothing wrong with that. However a lot of NSFW content is not strictly “porn” but artistic expressions that just so happen to be sexually explicit. There is a difference.
