Considering everything in the political balance in play and with the midterm elections just around the corner: No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, and whether or not your “tribe” comes out on top – remain equally vigilant regardless of the outcome. It’s easier to put your foot on the gas when your side fails to come out in front then it is to tap the breaks when your drivers are behind the wheel. There’s a perpetual, stop-and-go, highway hypnosis at hand. To that end, be weary of pledging allegiance to either side unconditionally and with big, broad brushes. From my perch, it seems, that it’s our binary blend of tribalism which gives rise to our collective feeling of being helpless observers stuck in endless traffic.
